SHF 10001 B is the host unit that works in conjunction with the SHF plugin module. Various available plugin modules allow for the configuration of a modular and scalable measurement system. Depending on the configuration, one full-width plugin (such as a code generator or error analyzer) and up to four half-width plugins can be installed in this host, including an internal clock source, clock recovery module, optical transmitter, optical receiver, electrical delay line, and user-specific functions. The host is controlled by an external computer via standard Ethernet connection, and this computer can be ordered as an option. Each system comes with an easy-to-use software package, which not only provides a user-friendly interface for changing parameters and powerful measurement tools, but also offers the ability to enhance functionality through firmware and software upgrades.To support the DC power supply of external components (such as amplifier multipliers, etc.), the host has DC power supply sockets with various voltages.
